Fountaineers | Case Study

Year: 2018

Aldgate Square, City of London

Fountaineers are pleased to announce the completion of an exciting new water feature in Aldgate Square in the City of London.

Featuring five Jumping Jets that project in a parabolic arc from the pavement, this is the latest innovative water feature in Fountaineers extensive portfolio. With DMX control for the fountain pumps and jets Fountaineers have been able to create an appealing water feature which invites you to both stand and admire or to interact and play. When darkness falls, the jets are illuminated with RGB LED lighting which further enhances this water feature in this new and vibrant square.

Fountaineers worked closely with the City of London Corporation and J.B. Riney to design, integrate and construct this water feature. We also entered a new partnership with Enhanced Control Systems to deliver a high-spec control panel for this water feature.

Aside from the water feature, Fountaineers also installed a 10 zone irrigation system to provide automatic watering to the surrounding landscape. This system incorporates drip-line irrigation for planting areas as well as pop-up sprinklers for lawn irrigation.

This project was one of the largest that Fountaineers have delivered and Managing Director Colin Knight was exceptionally pleased with the final outcome:

“I am really pleased with this project; we have spent a long time designing and installing this water feature and I think that our team have produced something to be really proud of.”
