Irrigation system up and running in the City of London

At Fountaineers we have built many irrigation systems for the City of London and we are pleased to announce the recent completion of a new system in St Bartholomew’s Close. The area has recently been re-developed and the project included the addition of some new street scene planting and trees. Some of the planting on this project was installed in unique bronze plant pots standing 1.2m tall with the irrigation pipe-work directly entering the planter through the base of the pot. The irrigation equipment included a WRAS compliant water tank, automatic irrigation controller and solenoid valves on each irrigated zone. In addition to the automatic irrigation system, a stainless steel stand-pipe was installed to allow for manual watering.

Managing Director Colin Knight was pleased with the completion of yet another project: “We have built many irrigation systems over the years and each one is slightly different and brings its own unique challenges. Our team have worked really hard through difficult circumstances to deliver another successful project.”
